Last report that I got from the Confluence was 571 paddlefish for the season. If you are planning on coming up next week I would check the NDG&F site for their twenty four hour notice before making the trip. Generally when we make it into the second week the numbers of fishermen falls off and numbers of fish harvested drops drastically even when the fish are here in good numbers. I would have to guess that about a hundred paddlefish will be caught today so I can not imagine the closing of the season any time soon but that is not my job either. Panic should not be a factor from here on out! We got in another huge shipment of paddlefish sinkers and everything else is now in good stock as well. 119 is still the biggest fish of the season.
Walleye activity has been good and the weather is nice here today compared to the rest of the state that is either getting or predicting snow storms. More rain would be good for the area but the walleyes are also biting good and hate to be sitting inside when that is happening. Cranks and Jigs in six to ten feet of water from Lund's all the way to White Earth has been good to great so get out and get an early start on a great year.
